Japanese vocabulary: When talking about my Family
  1. 家族(かぞく): A group formed by blood relationship or marriage. Including father, mother, brothers.
  2. 父(ちち): biological father or adoptive father.
  3. 母(はは): Birth mother or adoptive mother.
  4. 兄弟姉妹(きょうだい): Siblings of the same parents or siblings. Called "兄(あに)" (older brother), "弟(おとうと)" (younger brother), "姉(あね)" (sister), "妹(いもうと)" (sister) depending on depends on the number of brothers.
  5. 祖父(そふ): Grandfather (his father's father).
  6. 祖母(そぼ): Grandma (his father's mother).
