2025 Cherry Blossom Forecast (Major Cities)
Kanto/Tohoku
- Tokyo (Tokyo): March 21 (3 days earlier than normal)
- Sendai (Miyagi): April 4 (4 days earlier than normal)
- Niigata (Niigata): April 7 (1 day earlier than normal)
- Nagano (Nagano): April 8 (3 days earlier than normal)
- Aomori (Aomori): April 8 (4 days earlier than normal)
- Akita (Akita): April 13 (4 days earlier than normal)
- Sapporo (Hokkaido): April 24 (8 days earlier than normal)
- Kushiro (Hokkaido): May 8 (8 days earlier than normal)
Kansai/Chubu
- Nagoya (Aichi): March 24 (normal)
- Osaka (Osaka): March 26 (1 day earlier than normal)
- Kanazawa (Ishikawa): April 2nd (1 day later than the average)

2025 Cherry Blossom Trends
This year, cherry blossoms tend to bloom earlier than average nationwide. However, in some areas of Kansai and parts of Kyushu, they are expected to bloom later than last year. This is because the cherry blossoms are affected by temperature.
Last winter was a warm one, so the cherry blossoms bloomed earlier than usual, but this year there is a large difference in temperature depending on the region. In particular, the cherry blossoms may bloom later in the Kinki region and southern Kyushu.
