The second best-selling product was "sheet masks," which rose from 15th place in 2023 and saw sales increase by 44%. It is believed that the expansion of the Korean cosmetics market and celebrity trends have influenced the increase in sheet mask sales.
The next best-selling product was "rice," with sales increasing by 30%. Japan is facing a nationwide rice shortage, and sales reached about 1.7 times in August. Even now, rice prices are rising in some areas, such as Tokyo.
