What to do in Japan in the summer?
Summer in Japan is not for everyone. The summer months will be very hot and humid throughout most of the country.
Traveling in this season has many activities taking place from festivals, water parks to fireworks.
1.Watch the fireworks
Did you know that fireworks originated in Asia? Fireworks, known as hanabi in Japan, are a symbol of summer in the country. If you're traveling during this season, grab the opportunity to see thousands of fireworks celebrating throughout the summer. Unlike the US, which only fires fireworks on a summer holiday, in Japan fireworks are caught throughout the summer.
2. Walking Mount Fuji (Fuji)
If you are a person who enjoys outdoor activities then you will definitely like Mount Fuji. It is a 12,389 feet high mountain – the highest in Japan. The official climbing season runs from July 1 to August 31. Mount Fuji is called Fuji-san by the Japanese. It is one of the three largest high mountains in Japan and a tourist attraction located near the Pacific coast in Honshu (southeast of Tokyo). The mountain is located on the territory of Shizouka and Yamanashi prefectures.
Mount Fuji is not only an attractive climbing site, but also an active volcano. However, the last eruption was on December 16, 1707, so it is expected that it will be a long time before Fuji erupts again.
3. Cool off at a water park
Summer in Japan is not very pleasant, so fun places like water parks will be very attractive to tourists and locals alike. Here are the best water parks in Tokyo:
Tokyo Summerland (Tokyo Water Park)
Water Amusement Island

In addition to the water parks, the outdoor swimming pools are also very attractive places during the summer. Most swimming pools in Japan open in early July and close in early August. It's usually very crowded during the summer vacation season from late July to August.
You can't stand the crowding of the pools here, so call the park and ask what time of day is the least crowded.
Those with tattoos should be careful. The park has a very strict no-tattoo policy and if you are not honest you will be kicked out of the park without a refund.
