Resort Minori
Line: Sendai ↔ Shinjo, on Line Riku East.

Resort Minori  is reminiscent of the old traditional train of Japan, gliding through the beautiful Naruko Gorge with vibrant red-orange colors covering the space to take visitors to enjoy the vast golden rice fields – a sign for the harvest season is approaching, slowly ice. In addition to the extremely spacious seats, the train also offers services such as a playroom and library for children, or a "kokeshi" doll drawing experience at the Kokeshi-kan stop.

Train POKEMON with YOU
Line: Ichinoseki ↔ Kesennuma, belonging to Line Ofunato.

Pokemon with You was first released in July 2017, with the aim of bringing smiles to Tohoku children living in an area that was hit by a double disaster: the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The train has 46 seats. (reservation only) is made up of 2 cars - one for seating and the other for a free play area for passengers, with playful images of Pokemon characters from the movie of the same name.

Toreiyu Tsubasa
Line: Fukushima ↔ Shinjo, on Line Yamagata Shinkansen

Toreiyu Tsubasa, which runs on the Yamagata Shinkansen, is a shinkansen combined with a foot bath (ashiyu – onsen for the feet). The ship's interior is highly invested, equipped with wide seats, tatami mat-lined seats, a bar with locally brewed sake, wine and juices, as well as a foot bath to relax and enjoy landscape outside the window.

Resort Shirakami
Line: Akita ↔ Aomori, on Line Gono.

Resort Shirakami is one of the pioneers of fun trains that began in 1997, with a route that runs along the coast along with the Gono rails. The train is designed with economy seats with ample leg room, and also has a compartment with seats that create a large panoramic view of the sea and Shirakami Sanchi - World Natural Heritage. On board there are special events such as puppet shows, story telling and performances of traditional musical instruments (shamisen).

SL Ginga
Line: Hanama ki ↔ Kamaishi, belonging to the Kamaishi Line.

SL stands for "Steam Locomotive'" (Steam Locomotive) and Ginga means "Galaxy", which is a train that uses recovery locomotives. The train runs between Hanamaki - famous for its onsen town and Kamaishi - a coastal city, through the mountains. Stained glass windows and astrological partitions are arranged reasonably to create soft light, cozy cabin, allowing passengers to comfortably enjoy the beautiful natural scenery outside.
